The Hisense U6 Mini LED stands out as a strong budget 75 inch gaming TV, with 144 hertz refresh, HDMI 2.1, and about 1000 nits making it look well suited for console play. The price also lands in a range that feels compelling for the size, especially compared with similar TCL and Costco offers. The main knocks are Fire TV, which is a dealbreaker for some, and recurring worries about Hisense reliability, build quality, and picture quality. A few long running Hisense sets are still going strong, so it reads as a value play with some durability risk.

  • basement setups that are mostly used for Roku/YouTube because one buyer said they bought it at this price specifically for a basement setup that's mostly used for roku/youtube anyways.

  • console gamers who want next-gen 75" performance because a commenter said the Hisense U6 hits gaming check marks like 144Hz, HDMI 2.1, and ~1000 nits and is a strong 75" deal.

  • people who are okay with Fire TV and want a value TV that can last 5+ years because one user reported having 3 budget Hisense TVs all working for over 5 years and said it's definitely worth the value.

  • buyers who are tempted by Hisense deals but want to weigh reliability because another commenter said their Hisense lasted over 5 years and that for the price it seems pretty good (even comparing it to shorter-lived appliances like refrigerators).

  • people who don't want to use Amazon Fire TV even if they add an Apple TV because one commenter said "If only it wasn't a Fire TV" and that they don't even want one of those with an Apple TV.

  • buyers who are sensitive to brand reliability after a failure because one user said their last Hisense went out and they're "kind of scared to try them again" despite being tempted by deals.

  • people who want strong build quality and worry about screen defects because a commenter said the build quality was weak (they returned a 65" after it developed a dead line while removing the wall mount) and they also called the picture quality terrible.

  • buyers who need a TV that reliably lasts beyond a couple years because one commenter said both of their Hisense TVs went out in less than 2 years, calling it a horrible brand despite the great price/tech.

Was looking at this ud7, and tcl qm6k. Almost pulled the trigger on this the other day at $597, so finally pulled the trigger at this price. Will be going in the basement, which is mostly used for roku/youtube anyways.
A U7n at 597 dollars is a good deal.

Did you get the tvs mixed up by chance, this is the u65qf?

Was it a u7g ?

I've had great experience it...I won't recommend samsung or lg due to it's awful gui
Man, I can crap on Samsung enough for their GUI on their Odyssey monitor. There's no flip back to just letting be a monitor either. I HAVE to deal with the GUI every time. Anytime I want to switch input, I have to go to the home screen. Screw Samsung! This TV looks good, 144 refresh, HDMI 2.1, 1000 nits... You can't beat this deal especially for 75". Hisense is a decent budget brand and this hits all the check marks for gaming. Great TV for console gaming and is next gen console proof.

Two Qled Samsung two years each. Just google screen turning black or dark spot on Samsung TVs and you will see how common this issue is. My last Samsung TV for sure.

I see your point. But I have other brands going on 10+ years and no issues. Inexpensive doesn't always need to be disposable.
I think those days are long gone. I had my first tv die at 6 years when all previous had never quit on me. Anything after 2020 is lucky to see 5 years

Hisense are terrible TV's.
1. Fire TV. That alone should keep you away.
2. Build quality is reflective of the price you pay. Bought a 65 on BF and returned it a week later. While taking off the wall mount, it developed a dead line on the screen. Like really? The chassis is very weak.
3. Picture quality is terrible. Yeah, it was the $350 TV but I'd rather pay more for better quality.

For reference, I have a Sharp 65" from 2015 and it still runs perfect after 2 moves and relocating it 5 times. Heavy? Sure. Sturdy? You best believe it! Did I lose the 3D glasses? Yep....
I also have a 75" Sony Bravia. It's my bedroom TV and it's 4 years old. Still runs great and again, moved 2 twice, relocated 3 times.

If this TV was $200, sure. Just lasts 5 years (maybe) that works out to $40 a year for a TV but again, the Fire TV is a hard no though you can always just get a Chromecast and convert it to Google TV.

So far my 55" Samsung is going on 13 years and I sure hope it has a lot more life in it!

Really? I've had a pretty good experience with them and so has everyone else in my family. My parents have an older Hisense and the speakers on it are loud like on mine. I'm more skeptical with Vizio's , Westinghouse, and insignia. In my experience those are the only tvs that have ever failed on me.
I got 3 budget Hisense. All working and it's over 5 yrs old. Definitely worth the value

It varies. I got a Samsung frame and it died after 5 years. Paid $1200 for it

Most of the newer led tvs will only last 5-6. No matter the brand. I had 65 inch LG and Samsungs go out from 2020 that went out in 2024 and 2025.
You might be right. Had a 2020 Samsung frame and it died after 5 years. I got a QLED Samsung that's still running great! The OS does suck. I replaced with Roku stick. Love Roku OS

Sorry, typo, I meant the QD7, I was looking at the TCL QM6K and the QD7, and then the U6 started coming into my price range so I compared them all and went with the U6. This U6 was $597ish at the beginning of the spring sale.
