The Hisense U6 Mini LED stands out as a strong budget 75 inch gaming TV, with 144 hertz refresh, HDMI 2.1, and about 1000 nits making it look well suited for console play. The price also lands in a range that feels compelling for the size, especially compared with similar TCL and Costco offers. The main knocks are Fire TV, which is a dealbreaker for some, and recurring worries about Hisense reliability, build quality, and picture quality. A few long running Hisense sets are still going strong, so it reads as a value play with some durability risk.
basement setups that are mostly used for Roku/YouTube because one buyer said they bought it at this price specifically for a basement setup that's mostly used for roku/youtube anyways.
console gamers who want next-gen 75" performance because a commenter said the Hisense U6 hits gaming check marks like 144Hz, HDMI 2.1, and ~1000 nits and is a strong 75" deal.
people who are okay with Fire TV and want a value TV that can last 5+ years because one user reported having 3 budget Hisense TVs all working for over 5 years and said it's definitely worth the value.
buyers who are tempted by Hisense deals but want to weigh reliability because another commenter said their Hisense lasted over 5 years and that for the price it seems pretty good (even comparing it to shorter-lived appliances like refrigerators).
people who don't want to use Amazon Fire TV even if they add an Apple TV because one commenter said "If only it wasn't a Fire TV" and that they don't even want one of those with an Apple TV.
buyers who are sensitive to brand reliability after a failure because one user said their last Hisense went out and they're "kind of scared to try them again" despite being tempted by deals.
people who want strong build quality and worry about screen defects because a commenter said the build quality was weak (they returned a 65" after it developed a dead line while removing the wall mount) and they also called the picture quality terrible.
buyers who need a TV that reliably lasts beyond a couple years because one commenter said both of their Hisense TVs went out in less than 2 years, calling it a horrible brand despite the great price/tech.

Did you get the tvs mixed up by chance, this is the u65qf?
Was it a u7g ?
1. Fire TV. That alone should keep you away.
2. Build quality is reflective of the price you pay. Bought a 65 on BF and returned it a week later. While taking off the wall mount, it developed a dead line on the screen. Like really? The chassis is very weak.
3. Picture quality is terrible. Yeah, it was the $350 TV but I'd rather pay more for better quality.
For reference, I have a Sharp 65" from 2015 and it still runs perfect after 2 moves and relocating it 5 times. Heavy? Sure. Sturdy? You best believe it! Did I lose the 3D glasses? Yep....
I also have a 75" Sony Bravia. It's my bedroom TV and it's 4 years old. Still runs great and again, moved 2 twice, relocated 3 times.
If this TV was $200, sure. Just lasts 5 years (maybe) that works out to $40 a year for a TV but again, the Fire TV is a hard no though you can always just get a Chromecast and convert it to Google TV.
