fyi xbox usb ports remain active if there is something plugged into them. Some people care about power drain and devices being on all the time

Given that I use my series s controller on my Nintendo switch, but they also work on series x and PC, I'm not sure why it's weird to think someone would want these without owning series s console.

Yes, provided you have a usb port that fits the unique shape of this charger (or a usb a extension cord).

I have the exact setup for mine. I use a usb extension cable (got it at Dollar tree) and a old 5w usb A charger. I've had it for a while and never had an issue. Better than swapping disposable batteries for me.
