Currently in the process or replacing a 75" Bravia that is only a few years old due to the nightmare of an interface. Not sure if they have fixed the software but Google TV on Bravia in my experience has been unusable. It freezes constantly required a hard reset at least once weekly. Application freezes using apps like Hulu/Netflix and communication issues with using external receivers - the TV quality itself is nice but I will be opting for something like an LG/TCL or really anything that doesn't use Google or Fire TV as they leave a lot to be desired in my experience .

I have the a80j and have remote issues with it skipping and stuttering when pressing a button. I have to disconnect reconnect a lot.

Why don't you get a Onn Plus or Pro to use as your streaming device? Also TCL uses Google TV as well. My new Bravia 7 uses GTV and it works just fine.
