This 98 inch TCL QM8K is a huge mini LED TV aimed at buyers who want standout brightness, strong contrast, and a big step up in black levels and blooming control. The picture is described as night and day versus the QM7K, with the QM7K said to be much closer to it than to lower models. Best Buy also matched the price for some orders and included free delivery or installation. The main catch is logistics, since the set weighs about 122 to 174 pounds and shipping can add a lot. It is a serious large screen upgrade if you can handle the size and setup.

Common Questions (4)

  • Best Buy can price match it, but approval is inconsistent because reps may treat NFM's listing as a special sale or one-day sale and deny it. Successful matches were sometimes done through online chat, often by retrying with another agent, and some orders required paying full price first before a refund or credit was issued.

  • When the deal was matched through Best Buy, free delivery was included and some orders also included free installation. That matters on a 98-inch TV because shipping and installation can otherwise add a large amount to the total.

  • The TV is reported at about 122 to 174 pounds, so it takes at least two people to move and mount it safely. For wall mounting, multiple helpers or installers are recommended because of the size and weight.

  • The QM8K is described as a night-and-day upgrade if you care about black levels and blooming, with the QM7K being much closer to it than expected. The main practical difference is stronger contrast performance on the QM8K.

I got "approved" too by the first person but now they give me run around about it being rejected because back team didn't approved base on price being in cart not public price but at the same time I got successful submitted refund request on chat that I took screenshots of, so even if the deny thru the manual adjust BB credit card dispute will adjust it...Check if you got email confirmation of refund if not they could tell you the same thing.
I saved everything because it was strange to hear they could only do it after I bought it. Thankfully the credit popped up the next day.

I saved everything too and have to prove to customers reps today, one told me they couldn't approve because price was in cart not visible, next one told me they can't price match one day sales...and continue with other excuses...good thing Gemini pull out executive email and I tag them on those while trying to get secured promised refund difference and eventually I got call from executive that saw those emails and told me they will do "one time exception" but they usually don't price match due to things that was mentioned before.Glad I took that screenshot Big Grin

Great deal, here's hoping we eventually see these prices at major retailers too.
It will. We will start to see this price elsewhere as we get closer to the memorial day / July4 as the 2026 "L" series starts to show up in the inventory.

I just want to chime in and let everyone know that Best Buy did price match NFM. They also installed for free with a Sanus Elite full motion mount! It's flat out incredible! It's not an OLED. LG's processing is generations better...too much to explain in a SlickDeals post...but LED wise this is the best LED i've seen.
