Also this guy did an excellent review. He has some critical feedback, but bear in mind that this was assuming it is $400-$500 USD, so some of the negatives would maybe be overlooked at this price point. Overall, he speaks pretty well about the machine. Also, he said he is reliably extracting at 200 deg fahrenheit which is pretty much perfect (195 to 205 is the ideal range), and he says you can adjust water temp. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MYhslsN

KitchenAid's semi automatic espresso machine stands out as a budget friendly starter setup with adjustable water temperature, auto shutoff, and a tall portafilter stand that works well for Americanos. The 58 millimeter portafilter and pressurized option can produce results close to a Bambino for similar workflow, while the steam wand handles milk better than the included frother attachment. The main cautions are that espresso quality depends on a good grinder and pre ground coffee can struggle, and there are reports of leaks and messy water buildup over time. At $129.99, it is a solid value if the machine fits your workflow.
buyers shopping specifically for a low price point who want to test whether it works well for them because multiple commenters say the $129.99 deal is a strong value versus typical retail (e.g., around $350 elsewhere) and that paying close to $600 would be unreasonable.
first-time espresso buyers who want an easy workflow for Americano-style drinks because the tall portafilter stand is convenient and the machine includes auto shut off, pre-measured cup volume, and heat adjustment settings.
people who like Nespresso Vertuo-style crema and plan to use the pressurized portafilter because the commenter says they "absolutely love" the results with the pressurized setup.
home baristas who already have (or plan to buy) a good espresso grinder because commenters say the machine is excellent but you'll need a good grinder for espresso to get good extraction.
buyers who are willing to use bottomless portafilters and prefer a 58mm setup because one commenter reports results are identical to a Bambino and they prefer the KitchenAid's 58mm portafilter size while using bottomless portafilters.
people who rely on pre-ground coffee (like common supermarket brands) because commenters say both the pressurized and non-pressurized portafilters don't work well with pre-ground coffee, and another commenter adds that pre-ground coffee is generally too coarse for passable espresso unless it's custom ground for espresso by a local roaster.
buyers who expect the machine to reliably hit typical espresso temperatures like ~195°F because one first-time owner found info suggesting it may only reach about 172°F (and notes they weren't sure if the claim is true).
people who want a reliable steam-wand frothing experience long-term because one owner reported leaking from the steam wand release button after about 6 months even with maintenance, and they had to replace the machine.
buyers who need dependable shipping/order tracking because one commenter said their unit wasn't shipped despite the estimate, stayed stuck in "handling order," and the order tracker tool didn't work.
buyers who are comparing deals closely to other retailers because one commenter says the same machine is available for $99 elsewhere, making the $129.99 price less competitive.
