This OMEN MAX 45L is a 5090 gaming desktop whose main appeal is the RTX 5090 at a price that lands around $3,510 to $3,550 with coupon NOTKIDDING30. The build also includes a Ryzen 7 9700X, 32GB of DDR5, and a 1TB SSD, and the full PC is seen as a solid way to get the card plus the rest of the system. The main cautions are HP's bulky case, minimal cooling and software limits, plus the 9700X being viewed as a lower tier CPU for this class. Shipping may also run about two weeks, so it suits buyers who can wait and can live with OEM tradeoffs.
people who want a 5090 gaming/workstation build and are willing to apply the NOTKIDDING30 coupon (often only works when you're not logged in, like in an incognito tab) because commenters say it drops the price to around ~$3510-$3517 with free S&H.
buyers who are okay with a part-out/flip strategy to reduce net cost because multiple commenters discuss selling the 5090 separately (or offsetting the upgrade) and note the rest of the PC can be relatively low net cost after selling the GPU.
AI or render users who plan to keep most work GPU-bound and don't want to pay for 64GB system RAM because one commenter said they kept the 32GB configuration since "most of the work is done right on the GPU" and didn't want the ~$490 extra for 64GB (after coupon, it would have broken their deal idea).
people upgrading from an existing 5080 system who want a cheaper path to a 5090 because one commenter said they could swap the included GPU and sell/offset the rest of the HP to reduce the net upgrade cost.
buyers who plan to resell the RTX 5090 quickly for near-new pricing because commenters say an OEM 5090 has resale friction (including limited warranty) and that eBay net proceeds after fees may land around ~$2,900-$3,000, with additional scam risk.
buyers who care about maximizing GPU performance thermals because commenters warn HP's cooling/case airflow may be minimal or "passable" at best for a high-end RTX 5090, and that the case can be a "hot box" with poor airflow.
gamers who specifically want the best CPU for gaming because commenters call the Ryzen 7 9700X a lower-end choice for this class and say the only CPU that meaningfully boosts gaming is the 9800X3D.
people who don't want to deal with OEM software/limits because commenters report HP software/drivers and tuning options are limited, and one commenter says enabling "extreme performance mode" can void warranty and that HP software prevents using "not even 80% of the spec."

HP software and drivers are bad. The control and support you can tune are minimal.

LOL same... Ebay or Local? What do you guys usually do to sell this? Ebay could be a pain with the fee and scammers?

I suppose if you feel you must have the 5090 it's a great deal almost by definition. Personally looking at current prices I'd go for the RX 9070 XT ...
