This OMEN MAX 45L is a 5090 gaming desktop whose main appeal is the RTX 5090 at a price that lands around $3,510 to $3,550 with coupon NOTKIDDING30. The build also includes a Ryzen 7 9700X, 32GB of DDR5, and a 1TB SSD, and the full PC is seen as a solid way to get the card plus the rest of the system. The main cautions are HP's bulky case, minimal cooling and software limits, plus the 9700X being viewed as a lower tier CPU for this class. Shipping may also run about two weeks, so it suits buyers who can wait and can live with OEM tradeoffs.

Common Questions (5)

  • The code works when applied before checkout, but it may fail if you're signed into an EPP account. Using an incognito tab or signing out can make it apply, and the promo drops the listed $5,019.99 MSRP to about $3,513.99.

  • The displayed price is before promo; with NOTKIDDING30 the 5090 build comes down to about $3,510-$3,514, plus free shipping. That puts the RTX 5090 system far below current standalone 5090 pricing.

  • The 9700X is viewed as the lower-end part of this configuration, and some would prefer at least a 9800X3D for a high-end gaming desktop. For gaming, the 9900X is not considered an upgrade over the 9700X, while productivity workloads may benefit more from the higher CPU.

  • Yes. The 5090 has been estimated to sell around $3,000-$3,300 locally or on Facebook Marketplace, while the non-GPU parts may bring roughly $600-$850, though eBay fees can cut net proceeds to around $2,900-$3,000.

  • Estimated shipping is about two weeks, with some orders showing mid-May ship dates. If you need the system quickly, the delay is the main catch on this deal.

I checked Amazon and RTX 5090 currently selling for $3799+. Surely this can't be real life.
I suppose if you feel you must have the 5090 it's a great deal almost by definition. Personally looking at current prices I'd go for the RX 9070 XT ...
HP's cooling solution isn't anything comparable to those that you're seeing on Amazon. I've bought high end desktops from HP and Dell before and the quality is as minimal as it gets. For a 5090 you want sufficient cooling to actually take advantage of all that power. This will be passable, but it'll be an HP cooling solution designed to be as cheap as possible to manufacture in bulk.

I placed an order this time. Shipping is like 2 weeks.

Maybe keep, or jus sell the Video Card for a little less at $3500 and keep the rest of the computer for $250 (taxes were high and pushed it to $3750.

Spending way too much money lately on computers but I will try flipping this 5090 if 32GB VRAM isn't gonna be awesome for the pretend AI Work I am doing.
Why am I not surprised with any of that??

Wouldn't surprise me if the case is the typical hot box looks pretty with fans behind glass but no air flow and it being the OEM version of the gpu so they tend to not have the greatest coolers on them.

If you can find the previous thread in January, people were doing the same thing. I believe most people sold the 5090 for $3000-$3300 locally.

Loose math shows the parts in this PC (minus the 5090) are valued on FB marketplace somewhere from $600-$850.

I'll pull the 5090 and sell the rest as one kit. That means the 5090 graphics card is $3000 still. Not super slick considering you can get 5090s for $3000-3200 after tax, however this deal is solid slick given current market conditions and it's a full PC. Anyone think otherwise?

Dude it's not worth it. you will get scammed. local meetup is the best way, But good luck, you will get robbed.......
I know there are risks, it's a pain in the butt since it's hard to test it. I've sold Canon 5D 1dx but I went to the bank for the $5000 exchange for the camera and I can obviously test the camera with a lens I brought with me so the buyer was assured and bank's pretty safe. Hard to test a 5090 unless I haul the computer or meet the people somewhere local to prove the GPU actually works. Saw some videos of people selling fake GPUs or without the chips

It's just a game. Use it, sell if I don't find it useful enough. Get a decent computer for super cheap price if I can sell the 5090 for a decent price. Keep it if it performs good enough and if I have trouble selling at the price I want.

HP Scammed Us: HP Omen 45L is the Worst Pre-Built We've Reviewed

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cS27ol07bSo

When I click the link I go to here: https://www.hp.com/us-en/shop/pdp...-bq3v9av-1

Where I should be going is here w/o the R9 CPU and additional of 32GB, but W/5090
https://www.hp.com/us-en/shop/pdp...3-0990m-pc

The OMEN MAX 45L Gaming Desktop (GT23-0000t) featuring an AMD Ryzen 7 9700X, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 (32GB GDDR7), 32GB DDR5-6000 RAM, and a 1TB SSD is an ultra-high-end prebuilt tower, often marketed around $3,500–$3,800. Key features include the patented Cryo Chamber for cooling and tool-free internal access.
That is for an intel variant. I dunno if the AMD is any better but def not the same.

Even if you sell the 5090 for 3k, youre basically paying over 800 depending on your tax rate for the rest of the pc.

I stand by this. They took the cpu down a notch for this configuration it's standard to have a higher (better) cpu for a "high end high performance pc" this is a watered down pc of an already horrible prebuilt.

No. You might net 2900-3000 after fees on ebay.

Highly unlikely. If going the Ebay route the HP 5090's have sold for around $3200-3300 each with one outlier at $3500. Assuming a sale of around 3300 and including ebay fees you might walk away with $2900. We haven't even factored in the risks of a scammer purchasing.

Facebook marketplace you probably could get around $3100-3300. You don't have to worry about fees then at least.
