Great clean brand.
It's not, it's just marketing and they sell you snake oil. It's owned by Nestle. This isn't any better than your average supplement

I like Garden of Life vitamins but usually is very pricy. Difference between Garden of Life and run of the mill vitamins is that Garden of Life vitamins are food based and it is more assimilable into the gut compared to the synthetic vitamins. That is why with synthetic vitamins they tell you to take them with foods. I've found Costco has Kirkland Organic Food sourced vitamins for around $21 which is far better than Garden of Life health food stores prices.

The recommended daily dietary allowance (RDA) for zinc is 11 mg for adult men and 8 mg for adult women (19+ years). Pregnant and breastfeeding women require 11–12 mg daily. The total daily intake from food and supplements should not exceed 40 mg for adults, as higher doses can cause side effects. So if you're getting this, recommend to only take half of the suggest dose (1 capsule a day)

More than half of those other ingredients are to give you heavy metals but zinc would block absorption of them. Why are they there?

If you are sick you can usually handle quite a bit more but yeah extra unnecessary zinc your body just completely rejects it in worst way possible.
