The Bumblebee II is a budget USB condenser mic that stands out for simple plug and play use, a compact desk-friendly shape, and solid sound for voiceovers, live streams, and PC gaming. It also works with phones, mounts to an arm, and includes USB C plus a single button for gain, headphone volume, and monitoring balance. The main caveats are keyboard chatter pickup, some finicky gain behavior, and occasional static or weak results in isolated setups. A practical low-cost mic if you want straightforward recording without extra software.
Common Questions (5)
Yes. It's been used successfully for live streams, videos, quick voiceovers, and PC gaming, with sound described as really good for the price. It also works as a plug-and-play USB mic on Windows and can be connected to a phone for streaming.
It can. The mic is reported to pick up keyboard chatter, and P sounds can come through a little strong, so keeping gain low and using careful mic placement helps.
Yes. It uses USB-C on the mic, which is a practical upgrade over older USB-mini designs and makes it a better desk fit for some setups.
Yes. It comes with an option to mount to an arm instead of sitting on the desk, which makes it easier to position for voice work or gaming.
It uses one button with color modes: green for balance between computer audio and mic monitoring, blue for mic gain, and yellow for headphone volume. Mic gain can be finicky, so keeping it low is often recommended.
