If it all about trying headphones for less than $100, even if it is regular price, then go with the Panasonic RP-HT21. It has been a few years since they were regularly less than $5, but even at today's price of $7.99 they outshine most that sell for 4X the price.

These are meant for use in schools. I have a big head and these hurt my head when I would wear them. So I think they might be sized for smaller heads. They don't sound all that great. They're not using the same drivers as Porta Pro's and all the other $20-$40 Koss headphones.
