These aren't bidirectional if that's important to you. In other words, you can't do things like a BMS reset.

I own one of these. They are very limited. Can scan some powertrain codes but thats about it. If you know what the data means and how to diagnose drivability and other concerns this is not a very useful tool. I cautious anyone lookkng for a code reader. That unless you know what the codes keanand how to diagnose them. Dont bother with these tools, they will cause you more problems than they are worth

A better option is the xtool a30m bidirectional with 26 functions. It's about the same price if you get it on ali with cashback

I have the gear wrench by directional Bluetooth scan tool. It was kind of wonky to set up (I'm not real good at reading directions), it seems to work very well. It was able to reset the oil change light in our town and country. And it also has a lot of other functions. I bought it for 70 bucks brand new on eBay from a reputable seller

I also own one and actually find it useful. I disagree that these will cause more problems than they're worth. Sure, the functionality isn't that of my Autel, but in a pinch these are great and much more reliable than what you'll find on Ali or Amazon or wherever. These do have ongoing support and provide some insight into the codes that they read and fits in my glovebox. $75+ is a lot for a code reader, but I'd say this is the best and most reputable basic one out there.
