The Milwaukee versions are night and day compared to these no name ones.
Home depot has them on clearance for $8.50 and hooded $14

As others have stated...must have for anyone spending time outside.
Contractors, workers all wear these year round in south FL.
Stick to the lighter colors.
You will bake out in the sun with the dark ones.

As someone who wears these fishing.. in the California sun.. please enlighten me on a better type of sun protection shirt, I find these perfectly suited to what I use them for. Number 1.. I'm not getting sunburned. I also wear $4 sunhats all summer.

Yup. Florida too. Dries fast even when sweating, clocks sun, feels cool and won't stick on the skin. I have bought Patagonia and Columbia ones, also some other cheaper ones, no big difference in material. So this is great too.

According to Amazon, I bought these in 2020. They get the job done, but as the user above said they're plastic. Trying to move away from it as much as possible.

Big fan of this type for SoCal sun, and not just for fishing. I get the Hang Tens from costco and wear them regularly

I'm not seeing them on Home Depot's app for that price. Is it in person only? I'm in South Florida too; if it's a local in store deal, I'll grab a few today.

Voormi River Run hoodie. It's a little on the expensive side but since it's wool you won't stink. I'm slowly moving away from these synthetic "breathable" shirts. I still have some under armour ones I love but I hate the way they stink when mixed with sweat.

Anyone who works outdoors, like I do, appreciates these. Even if they are somewhat disposable.

I have to wear a tank top or t-shirt with these things. Otherwise, there are...chafing issues.

some have side "inserts" and some dont. is that purely design choice or the inserts more breathable?

The marketing calls is "shape retaining" fabric. They don't look like vents. Could just be a patch of fabric sewn in at a different bias or perhaps more or less elastic than the rest of the body. Or it could just be entirely aesthetic and do absolutely nothing. Hard to say.
