Not just the carbon fiber shaft…the newer power head and corresponding string trimmer attachment give you a wider cutting swath, Powerload (which I love), and LineIQ auto-feed.

I'm not sure if any other attachments get advantages from the newer power head, but the trimmer is a big upgrade.
