I purchased this 65" tv about 3 weeks ago for $850 on amazon on that deal and happy with it for the price.

Great pic, good sound for tv speakers (4.1 at 78W). Very little bleed.

The only bummer for me was when setting it up, you're forced to have a google acct. I couldn't figure a way to get past that. So my dog got an acct. After setup, i shut off it's wifi and use a Roku 4k stick.

They are finally a class action lawsuit against these TVs due to the fact that the bright colors are not bright enough.

I have a UH8 from 2024 and it was plenty bright before the local dimming delaminated or whatever. Big purple rectangle on my screen right in the middle. Worse with HDR on.

I need to return the 75inch version of this, this tv is so bright for me, be cautious if your eyes are sensitive

They are indeed very bright. You can turn on auto dimming in the settings if its too bright in the dark.

The U8H is from 2022...I paid $600 for a 65" open box at Best Buy in 2023

Still going strong in a bedroom and its torch bright at night...even in theater night mode and brightness set at 50%

mine is plenty bright...we have the tv wall mounted and we have a wall of windows on the right side and on the opposite of the tv wall (which is generally a no-no).

works when bright and fine when dark at night.

There might be a light sensor that will adjust the TV brightness for ambient light..I cant recall

But I agree...for the NFM deal that would be a very hard return to make

I was able to skip any Google account setup and didn't even connect the TV to internet. Works great for my Apple TV. Great deal at this price.

How did you get past the setup?

You might want to connect the tv to internet occasionally only to get firmware (or OS) updates, unless you are not one to do updates.

After i got past setup, i checked updates and there was an update, after it was done i then disconnected the Internet from the tv again....you can hunt for updates on a different device as there is an option for updating from a usb, but seems like that would be more effort...

Yes, there is a light sensor. Further, there may be various picture settings set to "IQ" or similar worded settings....one would turn the IQ settings to something not automatic, to gain better manual control of the settings.

I boughtthe 2022 version. we love it. It is on every day 8-10 hours a day,4 years now---(many of those hours because we just leave the tv on with you tube ffrc(-to babysit our cats) or a you tube Live trucking stream playing). 99% of the time with a roku stream pro. its kinda funny, you watch old tv and movie shows,you can tell the backgrounds are fake.
