For casual listeners like myself with a paid Spotify account, you can stream/download up to 15 hours of audiobooks per month. It's not much, but usually enough for one or two books.

Community Reviews

Audible is running a strong sitewide audiobook sale with standout prices on popular series and wishlist titles, including Project Hail Mary for $5.99, Dungeon Crawler Carl around $4 to $5, and Expanse books 7 through 9 near $4 each. Other deals include Alex Rider at $2 to $3 and Jim Weiss stories around $2 for younger kids. The best pricing appears tied to active Premium Plus or Silver access, while trial, Standard, or expired plans may not show the discounts. Sale items can also show as 1 Credit at checkout, so the dollar price needs to be selected carefully.

  • Some wish list purchases show 80% or more off, with many books under $5.

  • Premium Plus access can remain after cancellation for audiobooks purchased with credits.

  • Dungeon Crawler Carl titles can land around $4-$5 each during the sale.

  • Project Hail Mary is listed at $5.99 during the sale.

  • Sale pricing may not appear on the $8 per month Standard credit plan.

    ThackeryBinksenjay23

  • Sale access can fail for trial membership and for the non-Premium subscription tier.

    treeheadWasser

  • Standard tier access can stop after cancellation, even if sale prices were visible.

Full price for me, even once logged in. Membership (1 credit per month) expired a few days ago when I turned off auto-renew.

Picked up fellowship a month ago. People say the Andy Serkis collection is better, from the samples, I agree. Hopefully the whole series is available and more; a lot of same stuff every time.

Just be careful if adding deals from your Wish List.
At checkout, they are all marked as "1 Credit" instead of the dollar amount. Be sure to change it to the dollar amount or you'll be sorry.

Wait, how does it work after?
If I buy a membership for a month, can I still listen to the books I purchased?
Logic says yes, but everything is so enshittified right now,, that I can expect not to have access to something I own without extra monthly subscription

I don't know what price they are at since I own all of them and it doesn't show me the price but Expeditionary Force by Craig Alanson is a very good series.

I just bought Dungeon Crawler Carl. Heard good things about it. Might pick up a few more in the same series.

This is one of the better sales of the year. I've already picked up a number of reads that I've had my eye on.

Saw dungeon crawler carl was on sale and picked up several for around 4-5$ each
It's saying Dungeon Crawler Carl is $22 bucks after sale price. Guessing it's because I'm not currently a member? Tempted to sign up again, if that's the case.

Do I have to be a subscriber? I was brought to the subscription page. I'd like to get some audio books but don't want a subscription. Can I at least browse the sales before deciding if I'd want to subscribe?
Just get a month subscription or a month trial. Then you'll have access to the sale prices.

An earlier comment said the trial didn't work to get sale prices.
