Quoted from description "pour in hot water and preheat for 10-20 minutes before filling hot food." This could be dangerous for preheating this stainless steel in microwave.

You aren't supposed to put this in microwave. You pour in hot water into the container, wait 10-20 minutes, drain it out and fill it with whatever food that you want so that you do not lose heat warming up the "insulation" layer with the hot food that you are trying to keep it hot.

The only security this thing has is a press fit and possibly a vacuum as your food cools.

It is possibly secure enough. For the cost of eating out nowadays, its cheaper to make food at home, put in in this. Use it twice and it pays for itself.
