I feel like i'm in the minority where it really felt like a chore finishing this game up. The graphics and atmosphere are incredible, but the combat is just sooo frustrating and repetitive. Still a good deal for a game that is clearly well-done by the developers, just not a favorite of mine.

The first game was excellent. Too bad this isn't available in Steam as I don't have a PS5. If it's ever released for the Switch 2, I'll snag it then.

The combat is so beside the point that I've advised people to just play it on easy. The encounters get in the way of the rest of this masterpiece and I found reducing the difficulty greatly improved it.

No. You just don't pay attention. It's been out for 2 and a half years, and there have been tons of deals for it here in that time. At least once or twice a month. It also got rave reviews and was talked about a ton when it was new.

Loved Alan Wake 1 and Control. Haven't had the opportunity to play this since they haven't released it on Steam. It seems like they probably lost out on a mountain of sales by making it exclusive. Ah well, I'll play it in 5 years when they finally do release it, and buy it for like $15.

I never played the original Alan Wake and I see there is a remastered version for PS5. Should I play that first or jump straight to Alan Wake 2? Is there any sort of story continuation from 1 to 2?
