Does anyone have any personal experience with the quality of these? Not looking for Posca quality at this price just wondering if they are good enough for sketching, etc.

My understanding is that it is a solid brand, although I would go with their direct ink model of pen. I plan to buy a large set from Medeen, but Jusart was my second choice. At present, the best/affordable option I could find for direct ink paint markers is the "Funto ClickLink Refillable Acrylic Paint Markers" 30 set on sale at Amazon for $7. I won't receive mine until tomorrow, but I expect them to be a superior product to this cotton tip listing at the same price.

I got some of these from the last SD and found them to be fine for my purpose (adding detail to my 3D printed models). The paint flows well enough and dries quickly. As expected for this price, the pigment isn't very concentrated, so the color is fine but not very opaque. This does make it easy to control the opacity just right or mix colors by applying multiple coats. But you'd go through these rather quickly if you tried to put down large swaths of opaque color. This is why I reserve them for detail work.

My main problem is the tip behavior is inconsistent. The fine tips lay down different line thicknesses. The brush tips are mostly OK but one or two of them feel dry (they don't put out the expected amount of paint). It doesn't bother me too much, but might be slightly frustrating in the hands of an actual artist.

Then again, we don't make mistakes; we have happy accidents. Because very soon you learn to work with anything that comes out of these pens. And when you get over that fear of making a mistake, then it becomes fun.

I bought the same brand before in the larger size for my wife and granddaughter who love to craft and color on canvas and they are very nice. Pretty vibrant colors. I grabbed this smaller set for them as a back up.
