Does the S mean this is the slim model? If so, is it a full power 5070ti mobile? Seriously considering picking this up... but if I'm getting a 5070ti vs a 5080, I want the full powered laptop version of it. I currently have a 3080, but it's in a machine with a 10th gen I7... which is starting to get a bit long in the tooth.

this price coming down to the 2025 dec level 1275 ist.... for this 16s model

most people eyeing the Acer Predator Helios Neo 16" AI Laptop Geforce RTX 5070Ti 32GB 1TB | Refurbished hoping it comes down to same price point. the difference is no oled and not thin/slim. and reported that cpu/gpu are not as throttled as much and most of all is much much less issues down the line.

I've had this for a few months. It's been very good after updating the bios. I mostly use it docked and occasionally travel with it. I haven't had heat issues using while using a cooling pad. Excellent performance for the $.

Yes, S=Slim and no it's not the full power 5070ti. Those generally tend to come on 17+ inch notebooks or thicc boys. Still a great deal on this laptop though, and 12GB VRAM is really solid for 1440p gaming.

Seems weaker than my Legion 7i 3070 that can go to 145w...

Instead of everybody speculating about the performance of the 16 vs 16s, let's watch some benchmarks and then you decide:

Bought two of these new last fall.

Pros:
Gorgeous screen, runs just about everything I've thrown at it without issue. Power brick isn't 10lbs but it is not a thin and light machine by any means
Cons:
Battery life sucks. Screen is NOT variable refresh rate - runs at 240Hz all the time. 5070ti is power limited so you leave some performance on the table. It runs warm default fan profile keeps the CPU over 70-80c at all times. When fans spin up they are quite audible but not horrible sounding. Loves to wake itself up randomly and cook itself from sleep mode. The Intel "AI" built into the CPU is kinda a joke dont expect anything special from it. Webcam is serviceable but nothing to write home about

true, this is why alot opt for the non s model, drawback is none oled and bulky. its been almost a yr now, not sure how much firmware fix has come out to address all the issues it has when it first released.

Doesn't the non-s model also have the same issues?

Yeah I had the s version from December and was trying to replace my Legion Pro with the 3070. It was easy to fall for the slim design and glorious display but I snlent it back. Similar USB C issues and random reboots. Really unacceptable...
