This is a great deal on a macbook, only $70 more than the touch id neo and way better.

This refurbished 13 inch MacBook Air M4 stands out as a strong everyday laptop with 16 gigabytes of memory and Apple certified refurb quality that often arrives looking new. The price is also in line with recent Apple pricing, since these were new for $799 and similar Air deals have hovered around $750. The main drawback is the 256 gigabyte storage on the $759 model, which feels tight, and the 512 gigabyte version at $849 is the better fit for more room. Refurb status also means a generic box and, in rare cases, trade in hassles or support friction, so it is a solid value if the storage is enough.

  • Apple certified refurbs can arrive in basically like-new condition after Apple checks.

  • The deal can be more compelling for intensive work where M-series performance matters.

  • Apple Store refurbs have reportedly arrived in mint condition for at least some purchases.

  • Using Apple gift cards can add roughly 10% off and improve the effective price.

  • Storage capacity can feel limiting on the $759 configuration with 256GB.

  • Refurbished purchases can carry risk of receiving damaged screens and support friction during returns.

  • A refurb may have a different product number that can cause trade-in rejection by third parties.

  • The $759 price may be about $100 too high when education discounts do not apply.

The 759 was for the 256GB model, which is sold out (again). The $849 model has 512GB storage instead of 256GB

These were new for $799 last November
Sure, but the warranty for a new vs a apple refurbished macbook is the same....and every refurbished apple product I've gotten looks like new condition. Battery degradation should be minimal.

Apple certified refurbished macbooks come in basically new the majority of the time, and i yet to find someone who had significant problems with an apple certified refurb. These are more likely than not just returns that apple checked over and threw in generic packing.
I have purchased 6 since 2019. I ordered a m4 15 in air two weeks ago and the top left of the screen was damaged. Its the first and only time its been an issue.
Their support is also off shored now, the guy had no idea refurbs had the same return policy as new and kept telling me I was wrong and he "had no way to send a return label" until I sent him a screenshot of Apple's website. Then he blamed me "for lying to him, and he was going to get in trouble for this policy." I just asked for the label while he kept ranting.
Everything is being enshitified.

wish it was the 512gb storage version
If you're wishing, you could just ask for it to be an m5. Or a pro.

$750 at micro center multiple times

seems the introduction of the Neo has actually created a higher bottom for Macbook Airs.

You could purchase apple gift cards at target/bestbuy for additional 10% off to sweeten the deal. I purchased 512 GB variant at the same price by utilizing the gift cards.
