Obligatory PSA: These have the bitter coating on them to prevent children and pets from swallowing them. The coating can be removed by lightly sanding it off, or wiping it off with rubbing alcohol or isopropyl alcohol.

Thanks for the info, but why should the coating have to be removed? Is it known to cause adherence issues with the terminals or something?

Apparently in certain devices, it can cause conductivity issues

Oh good to know. I usually just wipe them all down with alcohol anyways to be safe.

Recently got them and did a taste test. They're disgusting and left my tongue blue for a week! Excellent for key fobs however.

FYI on Amazon, Panasonic CR2032s are almost always the best value brand name option. I'm seeing 7$ for a 10 pack right now. No weird blue tongue thing, though.

Yeah, but they last far less time. To me, it's a pain to have to keep changing them to save a few bucks, but to each their own.
