If not, it is just empty calories.
As with all fitness based food or supplementation, you're either knowledgeable enough to use it correctly, or you're not. Don't eat 3 of these bars in a day when you're sedentary, shocker. But personally, when I'm burning 4,000+ calories in a day, having a tasty snack instead of yet another plain whey shake in water goes a long way toward making diets easier to adhere to.
