This compact Elecom GaN charger stands out for packing up to 65 watts from a single USB C port, with enough output to replace a MacBook Air adapter and still charge an iPhone at the same time. The small size is a plus, and the Japanese brand name and cTUVus and PSE marks add some confidence. The main drawbacks are the awkward form factor, which can make it fall out of outlets, and a report of failure right around the 30 day mark. Delivery is also running nearly three weeks out.
Common Questions (4)
The compact, heavy form factor can make it fall out of some outlets. It is not an outlet-receptacle issue; the shape and weight are the reported cause.
The charger is rated for up to 65W on a single port, which is the headline spec for this deal. One comment also describes a similar ELECOM unit as 80W max on one port, so check the exact model before buying.
Yes, it can replace a MacBook Air adapter and still charge an iPhone at the same time. It is also smaller than the original MacBook adapter.
It does not have a UL safety mark. It carries cTÜVus and Japanese PSE diamond marks instead.

Those of you who spent any time in Japan know that Elecom is a Trusted brand, along with Sanwa supply.
So I trust this way more than off name chinese brands.
There's also a 150w one albeit unavailable.
congrats to all who got orders in, knew stock wasn't gonna last long despite a few weeks delivery time.
This is not a receptacle issue
