Staples are pretty much irrelevant at SD now. There was a time when we were hitting it hard with coupon codes and double-dipping rebates, but they have since evolved to avoid such predatory behavior. The only reason I ever go to Staples now is for my Amazon returns.
Another store in my area closed down very recently. Barely any traffic, and overpriced items not a good sign. I only went there for amaz or UA returns, and occasional photocopying. They suddenly raise the price of a b&w copy to exorbitant 29 cents from already overpriced 13c last year. Not a good sign. I am afraid we may hear soon it is going down in history bin.
At least Staples has a decent ink program such that A. there's no longer a minimum ink purchase requirement and B. the rewards last for 18 months before expiring.

I didn't know they expire after 18 months. How can one check expiration?

I think they expire only if there's no points activity in last 18 months.
Staples coupon reminds me of the good ole days! Back when hard drives had a supply disruption and I got double or triple discounts at Staples. Then selling them on Craigslist for $50 a pop profit... SWEET!
