I have used the older version of this baselayer for ~7 years now and I've been pleased with it. It'll get holes in high friction areas but it doesn't impact performance. Smartwool is probably just a touch more durable than other merino brands I wear (Ibex, Icebreaker, etc.).

smartwool is expensive, this is a good discount but .01 cents away from free shipping kills the deal in addition to their website looping and not allowing me to checkout. I'm passing on this

Al's website needs attention. I tried in firefox and in chrome and it goes into a loop after I input my zip code and I can't check out. I'd really like to buy this but Al's website stinks.
