Ninja's 96 ounce frozen drink maker is drawing attention as a refurbished countertop machine for frappes, slushies, and iced coffee, with easy cleaning and multiple drink settings standing out. It can make frappes without diluting them with ice or water, and the larger Max version is praised for entertaining, stronger drinks, and easier cleanup. The main cautions are its bulky footprint, the need for sweetener to get drinks to slush properly, and the fact that the listing hides the refurbished condition in the description. It looks best suited to households that will actually use the capacity.
The refurbished unit reportedly arrived in January and was described as easy to clean and take apart.
The MAX version reportedly supports making stronger drinks and can be a better fit for entertaining with higher capacity needs.
The machine reportedly makes frappes without diluting the drink with ice or water.
An extra 10% discount in the Woot app reportedly brought the price to just under $150, making purchase easier.
The MAX version reportedly takes up a lot of kitchen space and may require extra room for syrups and storage.
The listing reportedly includes a refurbished condition that is not shown in the title, which can affect expectations.
Sweetener reportedly is necessary for drinks to properly slush, and using too much sweetener can change the taste of a zero-sugar base.
The Slush Assist feature reportedly can overfreeze drinks, so dialing it back may be necessary.

woot, arrived in January. Totally worth it!
Really like the different drink settings and crazy easy to clean.
Make note: you'll need extra space for all the syrups you end up buying for your drinks!

Yeah I'm stuck on this decision too. Our CREAMI just sits around never used because it's sort of a pain to get the mix right and I'm worried if I go with the cheaper SLUSHI version that we'll have the same experience. I'd rather spend more up front to get something that we will actually use, rather than $165 on something that takes up counter space. But if this thing is pretty awesome and fairly easy to use, the price sure is nicer.
