Best Buy $69.99 each when you buy 2 (Thanks ElatedSpaniel543)
The MX Master 4 is a premium productivity mouse that feels smoother and quieter than the MX Master 3S, with nicer materials, comfortable ergonomics, and a Logi Bolt receiver included. The haptics are still early and not widely used in software, and the side wheel can feel less responsive for volume changes. Long term durability is a real question, since the MX 3S has reports of sticky rubber and peeling, while other long use experiences have held up well. It remains a strong fit for office work if you value feel and features over pure value.
Office workers who want a quieter premium mouse, because the clicks are noticeably softer and the shape feels nicer in daily use.
People who prefer a horizontal productivity mouse over an ergonomic vertical shape, because it suits everyday office use better than wrist-pain relief.
Shoppers expecting a big leap over the previous model, because the upgrade may feel incremental and the older version can still look like the better value.
Buyers who want proven long-term durability, because prior MX mice have stopped working after a year or two and the rubberized material can become sticky and peel.
Yes. Best Buy has been offering the MX Master 4 at $69.99 each when buying two different MX Master 4 versions, and some shoppers also paired it with an MX 3S in cart to trigger promotional pricing. One reported workaround was buying the bundle and returning the 3S, though that can affect the refund amount.
Yes, the rubbery material on the MX Master 3S can become sticky and start peeling. Some long-term users report no degradation after years of heavy use, especially with clean hands and occasional alcohol wipes, so longevity appears to depend on wear and care.
Yes. The MX Master 4 is reported to be noticeably quieter than the 3S, with smoother clicks and a nicer-feeling material. The haptics are present but not especially impressive yet, and the side wheel can feel less responsive for volume changes.
The MX Master 4 feels nicer in hand and has smoother clicks, but the 3S is still the better value. The 4's haptics are not widely used yet, so the upgrade is mainly about feel rather than a major feature leap.
It includes a Logi Bolt receiver, so it is not Bluetooth-only. The product page may omit the dongle, but the listed part number corresponds to a Bolt receiver bundle.
Conflicting reports if this one is that much better than the 3S that is a great mouse. A post in another form that made me laugh about the MX4 mouse was that the "best thing about the MX4 is that it brought down the price of the MX3S". As much as I want to try a MX4, I decided to get a backup MX3S with a sale at Woot last week.

Problem with the MX3S is the material it's made of. For the long term, expect it to degrade.

I have this and the 3s. The 4 feels nicer and the clicks smoother. The haptics are nothing special at the moment. Not many programs have taken advantage of it. Also, the side scroll wheel isn't as responsive when adjusting volume.
Despite the latter, I would get it over the 3s just because it feels nicer, but the 3s is the better value.

Been using a MX3S for over 3 years, over 8 hours a day. No signs of degradation. I keep my hands very clean and occasionally wipe the mouse with 70% alcohol (no black stains on paper towel). I assume removing oils and having a light grip is helping with longevity.

I read that the 4 has quiet clicks, up to 90% better than previous models. What's the real world comparison between 3s and 4 as far as click sound?

probably not, worth with what's being charged in today's inflated economy, how good are the materials, then what the item really costs if you factor costs from the popularity of logitech branding, popularity regardless of quality, hype, taxes, fees from that company...then it'll still be no for me

I can't speak to the 4 model, but I've used the 2, 3, and 3s for years. It is a very comfortable mouse and performs remarkably well.
Gaming aside, as that has different metrics for what people want, I can't imagine a better mouse than the Master. So yes, it is well worth the price. Yes it is expensive, but I tend to look for deals where it is $80-100 to get the savings.
