We use this in our nursery, and so far it has been good. I like that it doesn't produce actual steam or visible mist, which makes it feel like a better option for a baby's room. It's also nice that it can use regular tap water, because the filter is designed to catch minerals and other particles before the water is evaporated. I have a hygrometer in the room and noticed that the humidity is always good in there.
The downsides are that it's louder than I expected, but we use it as a white noise machine also so it works okay. The real pain is the filter cost. It's just ridiculously expensive, and there are very few aftermarket filters with comparable quality. I found Nispira filters, which seem to be the only ones from a reputable company. However, they require distilled water, which is still much cheaper considering how much you save by not buying the original filters.
