I liked the book, but I was hoping it would have more info on how to actually get into flow state. It goes over the few very basic principles (which you could easily find online) but aside from that, it's mainly a book that shows a lot of examples of people achieving flow.

Good book. I read the physical book in 1990 - when it first was published.

That's the thing, the basic principles are they key to get into the flow state. For people like me who struggle with the concept and think theres something more to it, need to understand it's simple on the surface but difficult in practice because it takes practice. Remove distractions and focus on task at hand. Whole volumes of research and professions exist just explaining and rephrasing this principle.
