Yes if you like to personalize your character, It gives you a skin and a bunch of raider tokens you can spend in the store buying others cosmetic items.
It won't give you anything that will affect the gameplay outside of that.

I have about 90 hours in this game. I am a PvE player just trying to shoot Arc and collect stuff. At first, I loved it. I would meet and chat with other players and we would help each other out. Occasionally I would get shot at, but it wasn't too bad. Once I got all my workbenches unlocked and upgraded and started carrying more powerful weapons to take out the big Arc, that's when things went downhill. The shots in the back increased and I ended up just carrying the common weapons and shooting low-level Arc. I got bored and haven't played in a couple of weeks. I think as time goes on, players get bored of shooting Arc and have more fun shooting each other. I don't find enjoyment in that but that's me. I have moved on to games like Killing Floor 3, Helldivers 2, and Deep Rock Galactic.
Arc Raiders has a lot going for it, the beautiful landscapes, the creative ways the Arc attack you, and most impressive: the sound effects. But you are also going to see an ugly side of people that's just a huge turn off. This game is a PvPvE game and I was trying to make it something it was not.
I just wanted to put this out there for those considering it. If you have fun shooting everything in sight, you'll have a blast in this game. Just trust no one.
Yes, I agree with DonkeyFinest. It's like the developer of the game didn't expect it to be so successful, and now they are struggling to keep up with new content, patching, and dealing with cheaters.

Is deluxe worth it?
I upgraded to deluxe a month after release and regret it. Never spent the extra coins and now I'm sitting on 5000 extra coins waiting for them to release a worthwhile skin.

You're not the only one, brother. I tried to treat other players well and tried to develop a reputation so that the game doesn't put me in pvp lobbies. After they changed the game and got shot down a bunch of times, I just stopped playing this game.

The game got boring for me, too. It's essentially PUBG with newer mechanics.

I've been in friendly lobbies for months. The aggression based matchmaking is real. If you play duos or trios you will be most likely placed in aggressive lobbies until it resets. Google it. It takes about 10 matches to reset.

This is one of those games that seemed to work more on their hype and buying off reviews than the actual game. Cheating is rampant. Backstabbing is constant. Like others have said, everybody's nice to you when you're running the free loadout, but the minute you shoot something that goes boom (and takes hours of real life time to craft) even the most noble of souls will double tap you in the back of the head. This game has attracted the dregs of humanity, and even though you hear about "friendly lobbies", no lobby is friendly when somebody can shoot you in the back and literally save 3 to 4 hours of mind numbing grinding by taking your weapon.
If you like a walking/running simulator where you basically run around and pick up trash, only to get your trash stolen, this game is for you. There is no real plot, unless a bunch of scavengers running around in pink moon suits and cowboy hats shooting enemies ripped straight from a Valve game counts as story.
This is a prime example of how a lazily made game (using a lot of AI) went viral by manipulating reviews and now huge scores of people regret buying and have moved on. I would absolutely avoid this game.

Probably not at this point. You can always upgrade later, but the preorder bonus for the deluxe version was where it was at with its exclusive skin that is still the best stealth skin in the game.
