For reference, AliExpress and Elegoo sell 10KG in Black for $103.00 ($10.30/kg).

While buying 4 is many times easier then buying 10, I don't know that $10/spool for PLA is slickdeal. Good deals on PLA are around $8 (for multi spool purchases) at this time.

Is the Elegoo Rapid PLA+ good though? I liked the PETG HF or whatever it's called from them but never got PLA from Elegoo
I like elegoo pla+, but when I got some white pla+ high speed it was miserable to work with. I didn't think it would be very different, but I won't but it again.

Genuinely curious what you didn't like about the white.
I use it & like it a lot.

I can get many other brands/types of PLA for $6.50/KG on AliExpress. If you find this particular one for $8/KG, post a deal for it. Look at the history for this particular filament and I think the best you'll see is $9.50/KG for 10 spools.

I've used several spools and had great success with it. I'm using a P2S and didn't even have to calibrate the filament. I just use the Generic PLA High Speed profile and have had zero issues so far. What sort of problems did you run into and what printer did you use it on, what settings, etc.?
Can you guys tell a difference in this and the PLA Pro? I have been using their PLA pro and it really turns out great.
There's a comparison tool on the ELEGOO website that you might find useful: https://us.elegoo.com/pages/compare-products
PLA Pro will extrude at lower temps by comparison, a bit faster top speed than PLA plus but half the top speed of rapid PLA plus. PLA Pro also has less strength overall out of the 3. I'd recommend you check out the differences on their site as it's pretty confusing without those details.
I've never come close to the 600mm/s speeds advertised for the Rapid PLA Plus, but it's worked very well for me in the past so I'm willing to pay a bit more to get it.
I've used hundreds of spools of the white, black, and a few random other colors like neon green with great results
Thanks for the response! I just got a 3d printer this past Christmas and have been slowly learning and buying different filament - comments like this help new folks out!

No problems with off brands.
I've only ever had an issue with one brand. What to guess what it was?
Anyone can have an issue with any brand. Ellegoo is no different.

Like I said, if you can find this one for $8.00/KG let everyone know. It will be considered an even better deal than this. History shows that to be unlikely, hence this is a very good deal for what it is.
