I would prefer a 5k2k monitor than a 4k only.

I have this and I really like it, but I don't think it's for everyone. It's a very capable monitor and it looks great, features and connectivity are pretty flexible, and personally I like the apps. But settings are extremely annoying and getting it fully tuned in is a challenge. It doesn't have an actual KVM switch so if you're using with multiple computers that gets annoying and because of the smart TV OS there are extra steps to wake your machine from sleep if you use connected peripherals.

I keep watching this price as well. I am reluctant to get this model for $800. I could bite at $600 a year old model. Otherwise, for around $800 Samsung G80SD seems like a better gaming monitor.
