Agreed as a 2' cord seems pointless....until you really need one! Great price for a very good gauge rating making these an easy choice to use even with higher wattage devices. Thx!

Ya. I am using one that's 6" long and it has enough clearance of where the socket is for plugging some transformer in. With this it can be laid on the floor.

Shouldn't 12awg support 20amp and 2400 watts?

It might be, but just not listed. SJ indicates it can handle 300 volts, which doesn't matter much with standard household current, T is the type of insulation, and W indicates UV and water resistance. For the average homeowner, this would be fine even without the rating. In for a set.

Bought a set last time and already used one to hook up multiple devices needing wider spaced connectors. The high gauge makes it nice for multiple appliances/tools to stay plugged in (not used at the same time) all the time.

Can these be safely left plugged in 24 hours a day? I think I read somewhere that power taps could be left plugged in but extension cords could not, I'm not sure what this falls under

The connector is a 15a (plug) not a 20a
