Community Reviews

The QM8K stands out as a very bright Mini LED QLED TV with strong HDR impact, better bright room performance, and less haloing than the QM7K. It is also praised for crisp picture quality at angles and a Google TV interface that feels packed with features. The main caution is value, since the 75 inch gap over the QM7K is often framed as small and price swings are frequent. That makes it a strong premium option when the sale price is close enough.

Common Questions (3)

  • The QM8K is brighter, handles HDR highlights and bright-room glare better, and has improved mini-LED local dimming with less haloing. For the 75-inch, the price gap is often cited as about $150, which makes the upgrade easier to justify than a larger premium.

  • The higher peak brightness helps it overcome glare better than the QM7K, and it is described as bright and crisp even at angles. A room with white walls and lamps can still raise reflection concerns, so placement and ambient light matter.

  • It can be a better fit if OLED displays cause headaches or eye strain, because the panel is described as very bright and crisp without that issue. The Google TV interface is also noted as easy to use, with a lot of features packed in.

The color accuracy is apparently better on the 6k. But the 7k is brighter.

The L series should be out next month so expect these '25 models to start going on closeout shortly.
Interesting. Maybe I'll make use of the Amazon return policy on my 7k if the prices tank in a month. LOL.

7K pretty regularly drops to $999. I have one on order from Amazon waiting for stock at that price now. So it's really a $500 difference in the end if you wait a tiny bit.
You make zero sense on your posts. It's almost like you want to justify your purchases. I can't follow your train of thought. You talk about the sweet spot in prices, but when looking at today's prices, as they sit, it's a minimal difference to get a MUCH better tv. However you justify with abstract information and your unverified empirical research. Then talk about your purchase is backordered. You are a strange dude. The 8k is better no matter how you want to spin it.

Please have your mom bring your meds to the basement.

WTF are you talking about? Of course the 8k is better than the 7k. But the performance increase is minimal and isn't worth a $500+ differential, which is usually is if you wait for a sale, which happens frequently.

I think you need to reread this thread and see the things you are posting. You don't make sense. First off, the difference was $150 for the 8k for the 75" from the 7k. That's it. Not $500. You have made several posts "how it's not much of a difference" basically ignoring those facts to stick with your 7k. It is you my young padawan that needs an uptick in those meds.

The 85 inch been this price for a while now. Not sure if it's going to budge much lower.
