I had a somewhat fancier Shark that I managed to get a 7 year warranty on. When it died in year 6, they sent me a cheaper replacement model similar to this one. They aren't outstanding but pretty good for my needs. Lots of pet hair on hard surface floors.
This one is missing the light on the roller and that's nice feature. The wand releases tend to stick, but there's a little button that will release the handle/wand for cleaning upholstery, etc. Overall good bang for the buck.
Parts weren't made for the model that died, but I was still able to replace the busted hose at the beater and am still using it.

professional vacuum repair person here... Shark vacuums are the biggest POS in the industry. alot of the dirt your picking up is going right back into the air. if they break, they are usually not repairable. is it worth $100? sure. but i still wouldn't recommend it, especially if you or someone in the house has allergies.
I only buy vacuums with a tangle free brush roll, so this would be a hard pass. It's so much nicer to never have to clean the brush roll.
My experience with this new brush roll is very bad. It picks up nothing more than what a suction only vac would do and leaves a whole layer of pet hair so the carpet always looks dirty.
We bought the Shark PowerPro Plus Cordless Stick Vacuum, (Lightweight, Rechargeable, FloorDetect Technology) and it's TERRIBLE. We should have returned it immediately.. Need a vac with real brushes like this one - even if it is a PITA to clean.

Sir, what model would you recommend? Anything that regularly pops up on Slickdeals?

Interesting. I bought mine in December 2019 and it has been the opposite. It's the Shark Apex DuoClean PLA with Zero-M. It's been super, quiet, powerful, picks up dirt very well, no negatives at all, and no hair wrap. It's a shame if they've gone backward in performance.
FWIW the Project Farm dude seems to like Dyson and Shark (and the Eureka PowerSpeed as a cheap option). Both have anti-wrap brushrolls https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5oWeRSQmfAM
