Even if you can carry it legally, this is probably a really poor choice for EDC. The folding/locking operation on this knife involves pulling firmly on the "keychain" ring to bend a steel back plate until it clears a notch in the blade. It's a little tricky to get a solid grip with one hand on the handle, so you can yank on the ring with the other hand and maintain the bend, then use some spare fingers to push the blade shut while also keeping the rest of your fingers clear as it closes. It's not rocket surgery, but I would say it requires your full attention .

I have this knife, it is a bear to open and close as TalentedPlant4519 explained. Never use it because of that, and I don't feel it's safe. My opinion, pay more for a safer knife. Fingers are too expensive.

Ever since boy scouts, I've hated pocket knives that were only 3'' long, and the smarmy unamerican attempts by some to unconstitutionally limit knife size.
It can't be done, (as witnessed by all the variety of knives for sale on Amazon), it's just constant psychological nagging.
