he StepRite Kitchen Mats weigh 250 grams (approximately 0.55 lbs) per mat. Since this set includes 2 mats, the total weight is roughly 1.1 lbs combined. Lightweight mats, probably no thicker than a kitchen table place mat.

Thickness listed as .40", so not as thick as several out there (though at greater cost).

It's supposed to be light. It's a kitchen mat. They use light, but durable material so it can easily be rolled up and moved to clean the floors. It tells in the description the thickness. All of the others are all the same. The bigger one is obviously going to weigh much more than the smaller one, so your calculations are off.

They are thick enough. You don't want a heavy thick mat to wrestle with, when cleaning your floors. These are easy to roll up and move. All the one I saw, the thickest was .47, so basically the same.
