I had a battery-powered ratchet once and never used it. But by the time I charged the battery, I could remove all the nuts and bolts I ever needed to remove with a manual ratchet and socket set. Milwaukee makes great tools, but as a homeowner, this one is a huge overkill

I use mine all the time, especially in hard-to-reach areas where sometimes you can only get one hand.
Its one of those things that once you realize the utility and time saving, you can never do without it. Mine used to sit in the drawer...until I finally saw the light.

Agreed. And this has specific use cases. It's amazing for guys who enjoy working on their cars.
Indeed. I have the 3/8" already, but gotta have both. I use my 3/8" with a 1/4" adapter frequently.
This is the one spot where I would say its overkill. Adding an entirely new tool when an adapter is smaller and works the same... unless you really really need to free up the half-inch of length the adapter is adding.

I disagree, a 3/8 drive needing an adapter sounds good, but when you're working on cars the spaces get tight around the engine using an adapter is counter productive. The added length from the adapter now makes the tool unsuable. Having a 1/4" is really handy even working the interior of cars, there isn't enough space in areas using an adapter. If you don't work on cars, then yea you can just use an adapter.

Using a 1/4" brushless cordless high speed ratchet on the interior is laughable.

there are bolts inside the dash and you know you don't have to press the trigger down completely yea? my point still stands adding an adapter to a 3/8 drive ratchet makes it unusable not only in the interior but inside the engine bay.

Feel like I need 3/8" for using on cars.
