The reviews mentioning leaking while not in use are the reason not to buy this unless you have a leak detector at install location. cat phones (i shit you not, käsisuihku is the excellent icelandic name of them) are a great option for bidet use for a wider variety of bodies, but in the affordable range seem to be more likely to leak than other cold water options.

I have 2 of these. Not the exact brand but I've had them for about 8 months now. No leaks, No issues. Easy installation.
Every household should have these. Saves you money on toilet paper as well.

This handheld bidet sprayer is best for simple cold water cleanup and can be easy to install, with long term use showing it can save toilet paper and stay leak free for months or even years. The trigger style is favored over knob style controls, and the sprayer is handy for wet baths or even kitchen sink use. The main concern is leaking, with repeated reports of units being returned for that reason and some caution that cheaper cold water models may be more prone to it. It is a practical basic option if you are comfortable watching for leaks and learning the spray angle.

  • The sprayer can be used in a kitchen sink for quick rinsing.

    mlnem4s

  • Easy installation can make the handheld bidet sprayer simple to set up.

    AssaultLife

  • Some units can run for months without leaks or other issues.

    AssaultLife

  • Using flushable wipes can help with maintenance when avoiding tearing the sprayer apart.

    Bondgamer02

  • Leaking while not in use can occur, so a leak detector may be needed at the install location.

    holysin

  • The product can be frequently returned due to leaking.

    salincer

  • Splashes may be an issue for dry baths when using a handheld sprayer.

    Snowbearz

  • Flushable wipes can still clog over time, creating a maintenance risk.

Good if you have a wet bath. Splashes may be an issue for dry baths. These are and have been very popular in parts of the world outside of N.America for decades now. Way before the fancier "heated bidet seats" came about.

I use a hand held, its fantastic. This country needs to wake up, you don't need toilet paper. What we need to do is FORCE builders to install hot water to the toilet, that is what woudl make this amazing, as most can only use cold water line that comes to the toilet, cold isnt that bad you get clean quick, but warm water would be heavon.

Or just buy a Japanese toilet that heats the water and is a lot more advanced than these caveman sprayers. They're not as expensive as people think they are and are far superior.

We got a $50 one 4 years ago, still going strong with no leaks. Don't cheap out on these! I forgot the brand but they went way up over the years last time I saw they were $70 now. We got some other one for our 2nd bathroom when we moved, genie something. it was like $30 on sale but its only been a year since we got it so I can't speak for it over a longer time.
