$99 in Costco if membership available
Community Reviews
The Bose SoundLink Flex 2nd Gen is a compact Bluetooth speaker that stands out for strong sound and rugged build quality. It can also be paired with a second speaker in the Bose app for easy stereo left and right channels, which works well for bedside setups. The main drawbacks are the Bose app itself, which is described as frustrating, and the Costco SE version, which lacks a microphone for speakerphone and voice assistant use. A solid-sounding portable option if those tradeoffs do not matter.
Common Questions (5)
It sounds fantastic and is durable, but there are cheaper speakers that can match or beat it for less, including the Soundcore Motion 300, Tribit XSound Plus 2, and Tribit Micro 2. The Bose app is also a common drawback.
No. The Costco SE version reportedly lacks a microphone, so it does not support speakerphone or voice assistant features, even if the core sound performance is similar.
One speaker plays both channels. Stereo requires linking two Bose speakers in the Bose app, which assigns left and right channels to each unit.
Yes. The updated Bose app makes linking two SoundLink Flex speakers in stereo mode much easier, and it is a practical setup for placing one speaker on each nightstand.
Yes. Costco lists the same speaker at $99 with a membership, which undercuts the $109 Amazon price.
