I carry several premium travel credit cards so my membership is free. I can tell you that I do not ever mind having a connecting flight. I will also choose my connecting city based on the lounge access. I love it. I have a wedding coming up for a young couple who will be going on their honeymoon...this is what I will be gifting them each at $80 per person. Big Grin

Given the wait list in most lounges, you will probably get in only 20% of the time with PP.

The smart ones keep a list of all the QR codes to join the wait list. Big Grin

But also, for anyone signing up, you still need to pay to renter, this membership just reduces the per visit fee.

Just get one premium credit card with priority pass access, buying this membership outright is a waste

1. busy times depends on the number of flights leaving at the hour you are visiting
2. in my original post, i said "those with no premium travel credit card and who are occasional travelers"
3. occasional travelers are not gonna drop $895 a year for amex plat or even $595 for c1vx

sigh.

I checked a few airports near me and it seems the number of lounges you can enter with it is very very limited.
There were many restaurants, etc that you could enter with it and pay though - I'm not sure who's paying whom to list those there.

no, guest passes are $35 so essentially, this one year pass pays for itself after 3 visits.

i find that the pp lounges in asia are far more superior than the ones in the US.

Stay away from priority pass. As someone who travels a lot internationally as well as domestic, you cannot get into most of the premium lounges and the one's you can, they are packed to the brim and wait times can exceed 30 minutes during busy hours. Also, the food is below average in most lounges. People who visit these lounges is becuse of the free access that their card offers.

Their site says it's $35 per visit WITH the Standard membership.

The post is misleading. The $79 price is not for access...it's for the ability to purchase access for $35 per visit, which is the biggest farce I can imagine since most Priority Pass lounges are no nicer than highway rest stops.

I wonder if you can use bilt card benefits for guest 3 and 4 with this? Could be not bad if you pay for 2 people and get 2 more free.

I haven't used priority pass before but will try later this year. Do they ever charge the credit card on your priority pass without your knowledge? (hidden fees, etc.) I'm not sure why they made me put credit card info into priority pass.

This is incorrect.

The "one year pass" does not include any lounge visits. It only allows the holder to purchase lounge visits.

So, if you gift this to someone you're spending $80 and they're spending $105 to visit the lounge 3 times in a year. That's a total of $185 for three visits (assuming they can actually get in to the lounge as most of the PP lounges at major airports are oversold).

The one good PP benefit was the meal benefit at airport restaurants, but when you're paying $35/pp the meal benefit is no longer a benefit.

The $329 annual membership includes 10 "free" visits, which is basically $33/visit for the first 10, then $35/visit after that.

At those prices an occasional traveler is better off getting a basic travel credit card that includes a certain number of free visits per year. You'll pay a lot less that way than by paying PP for a membership.
