Works on PC without issues, I pair it with the regular AdGuard to block ads as well. On Android it used to disconnect sometimes but lately has been pretty solid. You can also buy it a few times and it would stack for 10-15 years (you just stack codes in your account). For the price paid, I think it's a great value. Support has been pretty good for me too a few times I've reached out.

Seems to be slow at times, no matter which location you choose.

AdGuard Pro is excellent on both iOS and Android (though implemented differently) and is pretty fool proof when deployed for the less technical. The desktop app also works well on both Windows and macOS devices. Custom rules synchronize across devices which is pretty great.

AdGuard VPN is adequate. It is not fast and does not have tons of servers but it is also cheap.

Does anyone know how effective this is at actually blocking scambait?

I'm not concerned about regular ads, but I have a few people in my life that are not terribly Internet literate and I'd like to give them some level of isolation from this, particularly stuff like fake antivirus alerts, and Facebook scammers etc.

Scammers always find a new way and clicking on questionable emails / posts / sites will always be an issue. The question is how often does a particular anti-virus program perform updates to combat new known viruses........A good program will block you from clicking on sites that look like well-known sites but which are off by a letter or use wrong domain.....

I have it and am not a fan. I have to constantly reset connection on the app. because it just won't allow any web traffic. Windscribe was solid the 3 years I had it. Hopefully they have a sale soon.
All said, $35 for 5 years. Having something is better than nothing.

If you plan to use the vpn for a lot of torrenting then not for you. It gets like maybe 4-5 MiB/s with frequent drops so it averages around 2-3 MiB/s at best or barely works and get very slow speeds. Seems like many torrent seeders block this vpn. I rarely use my vpn for torrents so not a big deal for me. It also doesn't work that well with netflix and got blocked by netflix for region viewing. It isn't bad deal since 5 years is a long time for the price but only if you temper your expectations. The Ad guard is okay but there are many alternatives that are free like ublock origin and since i have both running i don't know which one is doing what for me but so far been good at blocking ads. When on everything slows down including things like YouTube. I say if you turn on vpn occasionally it can work well but if you rely on vpn a lot then avoid this.

I've been using the free version on android and iOS and have been pretty happy with it. Any reason to upgrade to this?

Also, would this work on Google TV/Firestick/Rolu and block ads on streaming services?
