I have this and the power switch being on that side is absolutely stupid. Also I had a Belkin fail different model and older (melt, burn). They warrantied it but it's the only strip I've ever had fail like this so far.

Over 12,000 reviews on the 'Zon. And only 3% give it 1 star... That being said, some of the pictures are a bit distressing. Mostly it looks like the users overloaded the surge rating. The first bad rating I read said that they "Only had a Vacuum Cleaner plugged into it!" Come on people! Regardless, it does look to be cheaply made inside (another reviewer's pic). So if you are only going to use it for light duty (bedside lamp, phone charger) it SHOULD be just fine.... But don't expect to run power tools with it! Wink
