This Tramontina tri ply clad stainless set stands out as a strong value for anyone wanting to move up to stainless cookware. The 18 10 construction, Brazil made versions, and included stainless steamer draw praise, along with the 12 inch sauté pan that is missing from some similar sets. It is described as solid, fast heating, and durable enough to last for years. The main drawbacks are the shipped only setup, the extra shipping cost for regular members, and a preference for glass lids over stainless lids. A good starter set if you want stainless and can live with the lid style.

  • The set uses 18/10 stainless steel tri-ply construction that is uncommon in comparable cookware lines.

  • Tramontina tri-ply cookware can heat up a little faster or hotter than All-Clad stainless sets.

  • The included stainless steamer is a standout add-on that other sets from some sellers do not include.

  • The set includes a 12-inch sauté pan, which some other Tramontina tri-ply deals omit.

  • Stainless cooking requires an adjustment period, and food can stick during early practice.

  • Shipping-only delivery with a $20 regular-member cost can reduce the deal's appeal.

  • Brazil-made versions reportedly use stainless-steel lids while China-made versions reportedly use glass lids.

  • Some buyers prefer glass lids over stainless-steel lids for their cooking setup.

This is tempting but I rather have glass lids than stainless steel
With this price, I wouldn't mind buying two or three glass tops that fit these. I also have three glass tops from an older set of stainless steel 18/8 that I could reuse with this one. In for one

This is a great starter set for switching to SS pots/pans. Make sure to look up some youtube videos on cooking with stainless as it is different. Once you get the hang of it though you can cook pretty much anything.
Any videos in particular you can recommend?

https://youtu.be/u-_FnU9FaeA?si=ggGkT7d5qwVRvvMS is a good place to start. As with anything new though, practice makes perfect. Lots of people get frustrated when something sticks the first time and stop trying.

Bought this set a few years ago... Great set and an incredible deal at this price. A lot of the deals on tramontina tri ply don't have a 12 inch dying pan and will have the 3qt saute. If you're on the fence dont think twice about it

If there is one reason to stop buying Nonstick and stick to Stainless Steel is the fact that you can scrub the ass out of these pans when something sticks!

The last nonstick pan I bought a few years ago was with one of those "diamond" coating, that was supposedly resistant to metal utensils. Shortly after, you can't fry an egg even with a generous amount of butter or oil without it sticking at the center.

I am now a big advocate of NOT buying any nonstick pans with any advertised technology. Just use stainless or carbon steel, or cast iron for frying meats.

Other than that, Tramontina is a great value brand.

Do you mind telling me how to do this? I am going to use my Mom's Chase card to get the discount. Do you need to apply the discount through Chase or shop through Chase? Sorry for the dumb question. I don't have a Chase card to know their system.

My offer for 30% (20 max) was for a membership only as well. I wonder if @elatedfang382 has the same and misread or actually has the deal for a normal purchase

I bought this set or similar set from Tramontina off of Costco, it's been one of the best purchases for my kitchen and I bought it for $200 I believe so this is a great steal. Try to get the ones made in Brazil because they're much better quality than the china Tramontina ones

How long have you been using this set? Do you put them in dishwasher? I saw some reviews online that the edges on pan erode and aluminum layer exposes and becomes razor sharp. What is your experience on this?
