If this is really borosilicate glass and it holds up and you can cook with it sometimes, this could be a good deal.

It will be heavy. But so is my cast iron.

It feels lighter than I was expecting. The container without lid is 5 pounds but the glass is thinner than a comparable Rubbermaid or Pyrex glass storage container. I will be more careful carrying this around when using and wash/drying. The lid is watertight but I have no confidence in the latches lasting.
