This TCL Q77K comes across as a big-screen value play, especially for an 85 inch setup with a five year warranty included. The picture is described as strong for the price, with fast, smooth menus and all HDMI ports supporting HDMI 2.1. It also fits bright rooms reasonably well, though off axis viewing is weak, game mode can show smearing, and 4K upscaling can be uneven. A solid budget large TV if you can live without the higher end extras.
Gamers who want a big-screen 4K set, because the HDMI 2.1 ports support modern consoles and the 85-inch size is hard to argue with.
Living-room viewers upgrading from an older set, because the picture is strong, menus are fast, and the 5-year warranty is included.
Shoppers wanting a large bedroom TV, because the 50-inch version has worked without issues in that setup.
Buyers placing the TV in a moderately bright room, because glare stays low and the screen remains usable without much reflection.
Shoppers wanting premium picture refinements, because it lacks ambient light auto-dimming and the higher-tier model is noticeably better in definition, blacks, and brightness.
Movie fans who sit off to the side, because off-axis viewing is not great.
Gamers sensitive to motion artifacts, because game mode can show smearing.
Viewers who rely on clean 4K upscaling from lower-resolution sources, because the upscaling can look poor at times.

That being said, I would get this if you are looking for a cheap 85" TV with a 5 year warranty and can put it in a moderately bright room at most. It's still a great TV especially if you are upgrading.
