I've had bad experiences with cheap walkie talkies being unreliable. If you're actually going to use them often, it's worth going with Motorola rechargeable or at least Retevis(just watch out for 16 channel radios, or one of your friends might pick a channel you can't use and you'll have to be the one asking everyone to switch it...)
