Is the Wax and Wayne series really just books 4-7 of the Mistborn series, or are they completely separate stories but in the same universe?
It's been a while but I read 1-6. 1-3 take place "in the past" (traditional fantasy for me) while 4+ are "modern fantasy". I don't know where each series takes place in the whole Cosmere universe timeline but I do know I loved 1-3 and I was not such a fan of 4+. But I like having all of the Cosmere books so I'm going to get what I'm missing here...

Thanks. I have the first 3 (Mistborn trilogy) and will consider these next 4 after I eventually read those and see if I like them.
I'm currently finishing up Book 3 of the Dark Tower series (Stephen King), so I have a ways to go before I'm freed up for another story 😂

These are being sold without DRM, would it be difficult for me to buy them on Amazon and move them over to my Kobo?
I bought them. You can navigate to "My Digital Content" after purchase, find the book(s), click on "More actions", then "Download EPUB/PDF". For me, it downloaded as a PDF.
Make sure you read the original three books first! There's also some Cosmere guides online that would suggest reading these particular books (4-7) after finishing up some other material first depending on how far into the Cosmere you want to get. That being said, i read all mistborn books before branching out into the other Cosmere stories.

They are actual sequels, but they feel quite separate because they take place a few hundred years in the future. It's similar to how the Dune series spans thousands of years, but this is a much smaller scale (and is much easier to digest).

Got it. Thanks!
Haven't gotten past Book 2 of Dune -- from what I remember, those took place one right after the other. But maybe Children of Dune are many ancestral generations later or something? I don't know, I don't remember the plot 😂
