That's the deal, it's the 800 series at $500. It's a YMMV in-store most likely.

Fantastic price for a great machine! Ours is only a few years old but still washes like day 1. I've read reviews that say it doesn't dry well but in my experience it dries correctly placed dishes completely. My ONLY gripe about it is the wire spacing and rack design. It's absolutely terrible, but after a while you get used to it and learn how your dishes fit most efficiently. My favorite part about it is how quiet it runs, I can't hear it watching TV at normal volume.

This post is misleading. The 800 is/was $999. The $497 is for the 500 series.
